Typical courses for a Mathematics Minor

While the 19-credit Mathematics Minor can be completed in a number of ways, the following list of courses gives the most typical way of doing so:
  • Math 126 or Math 131: Calculus I (4 credits)

  • Math 132: Calculus II (4 credits)

  • Math 231: Multivariable Mathematics I (4 credits)

  • Math 232: Multivariable Mathematics II (4 credits)

  • One 3- or 4-credit course above the 300-level (excluding Math 323). Common choices for this course include
    • Math 311-312: Statistical Methods/Applied Statistical Models
    • Math 334: Complex Analysis
    • Math 351: College Geometry
    • Math 370: Advanced Differential Equations
    • Math 372: Numerical Analysis
