Class of 2007

In our final issue of the year, we'd like to congratulate our graduating mathematics majors!  We've enjoyed working with you, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Amanda Allen

Amanda will be graduating from Hope this May with a degree in Mathematics Secondary Education and a minor in Psychology Education.  She is currently seeking a teaching job.





Julie Allerding

"I will be graduating from Hope in May with a major in Elementary Mathematics and a minor in Mainstreaming/Inclusion.  I am hoping to secure an elementary position in West Michigan.  Being a student a Hope has been the most wonderful experience.  I am thankful for all of the faculty, staff, and my peers that have made my time here so great!"



Kevin Butterfield

"I am graduating from Hope in May with a major in Secondary Mathematics Eduation, with a minor in Spanish.  I will be living in Grand Rapids upon graduation and be getting married in August. Hopefully, I will be teaching in the Grand Rapids area."




Neal De Void 

"I'll be graduating from Hope in August with a major in Elemenatry Mathematics. I am currently seeking teaching positions in Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and any other warm place. Thanks to everyone who supported me throughout my 4 years at Hope!"



Stephanie Dreyer

"I'll be graduating from Hope in December with a major in elementary math education.  I plan to find a teaching job once I graduate!"





Kim Harrison

"I'll be graduating from Hope in May with a major in Engineering (mech. emphasis) and a second major in Mathematics.  I plan to seek employment as an engineer, possibly golf equipment design, and attend grad school in the near future.  Hopefully I'll be able to afford Red Wings' season tickets in a couple years as well!"  Kim recently received a Sigma Xi award for her contributions to mathematics research.


Brett Jager

Brett will be graduating from Hope this May with a degree in Mathematics Secondary Education and a minor in Biology Education.  Brett was recently given a Sigma Xi award for his research contributions in mathematical biology.





Shova KC

Shova will graduate from Hope this May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics.  Shova was recently given a Sigma Xi Award for her contributions in mathematics research.





David McMahon

Dave will graduate from Hope this May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a minor in Neuroscience.  He plans to live and work in Holland next year as he prepares to apply for medical or dental school.





Ashley O'Shaughnessey

"I'll be graduating from Hope in May with a major in math for elementary.  I plan to student teach in a kindergarten classroom during the fall semester and then get a job somewhere the following year."





Matt Paarlberg

Matt will be graduating from Hope this May with a degree in Mathematics Secondary Education and a minor in History Education.  He is currently seeking a teaching job.





Megan Patnott

"I'll be graduating from Hope in May with a double major in math and computer science.  I plan to go to grad school in math at the University of Notre Dame next year."  Megan recently received Sigma Xi awards for her contributions to research in mathematics and computer science, and she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.




Derek Temple

Derek Temple will be graduating from Hope this May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics.
