Name: Backwashed Filters

 

Abstract: An investigation of the backwash operations in a water-treatment plant concentrated on the frequency with which filters were backwashed.  Ideally, each filter should be backwashed once every 24 hours.  Data was collected for the 31 days of October.

 

Variables (column):

  1. Day
  2. Mean time between backwash for four filters
  3. Range of time between backwash
  4. Standard deviation of time between backwash
